Caledonia girl vying for Miss Universe Canada

A local girl from Caledonia may be representing Canada in the Miss Universe Pageant.

21-year-old Emily Thompson is one of 65 competing for the title of Miss Universe Canada.

65 competitors will be narrowed down to 20 by people voting online for the People’s Choice Award.

Winner of that award will go on to represent Miss Universe Canada in the International Miss Universe Pageant.

The Miss Universe Canada pageant takes place May 23 in Toronto.
