Man with paintball gun arrested at Lime Ridge Mall

Hamilton police took down a man inside Lime Ridge Mall Sunday morning.

With recent terrorist threats to North American malls, police took the situation very seriously.

Police say they received a number of calls around 11:20 a.m. from people saying there was a man dressed in all black with an assault rifle walking around the mall.

The man was taken into custody at gunpoint.

His weapon turned out to be a paintball gun.

No one was injured in the incident.

No charges have been laid because police say the man did not mean any harm he was simply going to a paintball game after stopping off at the mall.
