Funeral set for former MPP Eric Cunningham

The funeral for former Hamilton MPP Eric Cunningham will be held on Wednesday at Port Nelson United Church in Burlington. Many former and current politicians are expected to attend the service. Visitations will be held tomorrow from 3-5pm, and 7 to 9pm, and Tuesday from 3 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm at Smith’s Funeral Home on Guelph line.  Cunningham first captured the Wentworth North Provincial seat in 1975 for the Liberals, which he held on to until 1984, when he stepped aside. The 65-year old died in his sleep on new year’s day at his home in Huntsville.
