Two puppies rescued from the cold by Hamilton police

Two puppies are in the care of animal services after being rescued by two members of the Hamilton Police Service and a pair of concerned citizens.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, officer Mike Logue and his Mental Health Worker partner Sarah Burtenshaw of the Hamilton Police Service’s Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT) were patrolling the streets when they saw a man and woman suddenly jump out of a car and start running.
They stopped to see what was happening and realized the pair was chasing two puppies who were running loose down the roadway.
The man and woman managed to capture the animals with the help of the police officers.
The puppies were turned over to Animal Control due to the cold temperatures and that no owner could be located.
Anyone with information regarding the puppies is asked to contact police.
