Police investigate stabbing on Hamilton Mountain

It’s another case of a good Samaritan attacked for stepping in. A Hamilton man was stabbed after trying to stop three people from breaking into cars on the mountain early Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Toby Crescent, off Mohawk and Upper Ottawa around 1 a.m. Wednesday for reports of a disturbance in the area. It was discovered that a man in his 30’s had been stabbed after trying to stop two men and a women from breaking into cars on his street. His injuries were initially believed to be more serious but police say he’s going to be ok and he was released from hospital.

Police don’t know what he was stabbed with, they did not find a weapon but there were tools and other debris from a tool box scattered across the sidewalk.

Detectives and members of the forensic team were on scene investigating during the early morning hours but the area has since been cleared.

No arrests have been made and police are looking to talk to anyone who may know more about what happened.
