Woman, 42, dead following stabbing in Brantford

Police will be canvassing a Brantford neighbourhood Friday after a 42-year-old woman was fatally stabbed at a home in the area.

Police were called to a house on Sheridan St. at 9:39 p.m. on Thursday for reports of a stabbing.

The victim was transported to Brantford General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Officers have charged a 24-year-old woman who was arrested at the scene with second-degree, assault, assault peace officer and fail to comply with undertaking.

Police say the incident is domestic-releated and they will not be releasing the name of the accused.
