Hamilton police seek suspect in armed robbery

Hamilton police are hoping the public can help identify a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery in west Hamilton.

Police were called to 1050 King St. West shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday for reports of a robbery.

Officers were told a man walked into the store armed with an “edged weapon” and demanded money from the cashier. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators believe he got into a cab a short distance away and was captured on a surveillance camera.

The suspect is described as a white male, five-foot-six, a thin build and was wearing a dark hooded sweater.
