Police investigate armed carjacking on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police are investigating after three masked men carjacked a man while pumping air in his tires.

Officers were called to the Husky gas station on Upper Wellington St. and Limeridge Rd. early Thursday morning.

HUSKYCARJACK

While the victim was pumping air, a dark coloured Hyundai Santa Fe pulled up. Two men exited the vehicle, while the driver remained inside. One of the suspects was holding a gun and demanded the keys from the victim.

The three men are described as black in their early 20’s, wearing zipped up hoodies and face coverings.

The stolen vehicle is a black 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer with Ontario licence plate BYWF 304.

The stolen vehicle was involved in a hit and run with an OPP cruiser around 3 am Thursday morning while driving the wrong way on the Highway 7 in Kitchener.
