Toronto art teacher charged with sexually assaulting child

A 24-year-old man has been charged after a seven-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her art teacher.

Police allege the young girl was sexually assaulted multiple times while she attended a ten-week art program at 4Cats Arts Studio in Toronto.

Jordan Pereira was arrested on Tuesday and faces one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto courtroom on August 24.

Police say they are concerned there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 416-808-2922 or Crime Stoppers.
