Bullet hole found in front door of Niagara Falls home

Niagara police are investigating a shooting in a quiet Niagara Falls neighbourhood that happened around 1 am Sunday morning.

Officers found a fist-size hole in the front door of a home on Yvette Crescent that police believe is from a bullet, the storm door however is untouched. No one reported any injuries.

Many neighbours living in the cul-de-sac say they didn’t hear anything and it wasn’t until later that afternoon before police were even called.

A man living inside the home was arrested, but police say it was related to an incident last year and not to the shooting.

Investigators say a vehicle was seen driving away from the area, they do not have a description of the shooter.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen a person or vehicle in the area around 1 a.m. Sunday to contact the Detective Office at 905-688-4111 ext. 2200.
