Police increase presence on trails and continue to investigate assaults on Red Hill and Bruce Trails

Hamilton Police continue their search for a man after a woman was assaulted on the Red Hill Trail.

Police were in the area again today on their bikes looking for anyone matching the attacker’s description.

The woman was jogging when the man approached her from behind and grabbed her at roughly 12:30 p.m. On Thursday.

She was able to break free and get to her car.

This attack comes a week after another woman was sexually assaulted. That incident happened on the Bruce Trail near the Kenilworth Access at around 10 a.m. on June 16.

People visiting the trail today say they do have concerns about safety but with the increased police presence in both those areas made them feel more confident about visiting the trails.
