Niagara police investigate after child was taken in stolen car

Niagara police continue to investigate after a car was stolen with an infant inside it, Friday afternoon.

Police got a call around 2:30 p.m. from a concerned father after his 2007 Toyota Prius was stolen from his home in St. Catharines while his two-year-old son was alone inside the car.

The suspect dropped the child off by a Grimsby-area business and continued to drive the car to Hamilton.

Police pursued the car but it wasn’t found until late afternoon.
