Canada Wide Warrant issued for mother of missing girl

A Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for the mother of a little girl who has been missing since last week.

Allana Haist, 38, is wanted for the abduction of her 9-year-old daughter, Layla Sabry.

Police issued an Amber Alert for Layla on December 2 after her mother failed to appear for a court hearing.

Haist and Sabry were last seen on December 1, around 6 p.m. in Welland, Ont. Haist is the primary care giver for the little girl but has been involved in a 3-year-long custody battle with the child’s father.

Police believe the two are together and say they don’t have any information that would suggest they have left the Welland area.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Allana Haist or her daughter Layla Sabry is being asked by police to call 911.
