New foundation raises Mitochondria awareness

Mitochondrial disease may not be familiar to you – and yet, research has linked it to cancer, ALS, Parkinson’s and MS.

It’s a disorder that tends to strike one in 6,000 children. But as Maria Hayes reports, it’s also showing up in adults.
