Spouses of heart attack victims are more likely to be depressed, or commit suicide, than those who have lost their partners to other illnesses.

A study finds heart attack spouses were significantly more likely to use anti-depressants, even if their spouse survived, compared to people whose partner had cancer or another disease.

Experts say heart attacks are often sudden, and spouses don’t have time to prepare for losing their partner.
