Students think binge drinking will make them happy

It’s the start of a new university year, and for some students that means a course in alcohol 101.

For some it’s an introduction to intoxication – and in some cases, binge drinking. Binge drinking is defined as having more than four or five drinks in a single episode.

Scot Urquhart tells us it’s been a problem on university campuses around the world. But now a new study from the American Sociological Association suggests binge drinking is often seen in a positive light by many students.
