Webster’s Falls rope rescue

A young man appears to be okay, after falling at Webster’s Falls, which is near the Dundas Peak.

Reports say a young man fell about 30 feet yesterday afternoon. Several fire crews rushed to the scene to perform a rope rescue. Police were on site to help control the crowd, which was very large considering it was a holiday Monday.

Eventually they pulled the young man to safety, where he gave a thumbs up and the crowd cheered on rescuers.

Although he appeared to be okay, he was taken to hospital. his exact injuries are not known.
