Welland drug arrest

In Spring of 2016 members of the Welland Street Crime Unit began an investigation into the sale of cocaine from an apartment in the area of Niagara Street and West Main Street in Welland.

On May 10, members of the Welland Street Crime Unit and St. Catharines Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant for the apartment.

Police seized $4,950.00 in suspected cocaine in both bulk and pre packaged bags, $1100.00 in Canadian currency, $200 in prescription medication, $100 in marihuana, and various pieces of drug paraphernalia.

54 year old, Rocco Munno of Welland was on bail as a result of 2 previous drug investigations and is now arrested and facing charges of possession, trafficking and other charges.

Munno is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in St. Catharines.
