Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family received a warm welcome as they arrived for an official visit to Washington on Thursday.

In between a few jokes the two leaders also made several announcements that will affect border travel and greenhouse emissions.

While the two leaders can’t agree on beer or hockey, they can agree on climate change, streamlining trade and border travel

In the oval office, Trudeau and Obama discussed new steps to curb methane gas emissions and committed to make our borders more open and more secure by expanding pre-clearance, including at Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport.

It’s the first official visit for a Canadian Prime Minister in almost 20 years

The Twitterverse has exploded calling their relationship “The Best Bromance Ever”

Obama has been invited to address the Canadian Parliament later this year when he visits Ottawa for the North American Summit

Both Obama and Trudeau were asked about Donald Trump.

While Obama called the Republican Presidential Race a circus, Trudeau refused to be drawn in, saying he has confidence in the American people and looks forward to working with whoever they choose to send to the White House.
