Update: Ken Curry will be here for Jack McFarland’s funeral. The campaign has exceeded it’s goal of $2500 and the North Wall Riders association posted a thank you message on the GoFundMe page.

In the wake of the death of a decorated local veteran a local group of motorcyclists dedicated to helping military veterans is trying to raise money to fly another Dieppe vet home for Jack McFarland’s funeral.

Ken Curry, who is now one of only two remaining RHLI Dieppe vets lives in B.C but the Steel City Chapter of the North Wall Riders Association is looking to raise $2 500 to fly Ken Curry and his daughter to Hamilton for the funeral. The President of the local chapter says Curry is heartbroken to hear of McFarland’s death and lost his own wife two days ago.

A visitation for McFarland is set for this weekend at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home on Rymal Rd. East. His funeral will also take place at the funeral home on Monday at 1 pm.
