Marco Muzzo pleads guilty

A man accused of drunk driving in a horrific crash that killed three young children and their grandfather last Fall pleaded guilty in court, Thursday.

29-year old, Marco Muzzo nodded and quietly agreed when he was asked if he understood the consequences of his plea.

Muzzo pleaded guilty to 4 counts of impaired driving causing death and 3 counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm in the September 27th crash.

The crash killed 9-year old Daniel Neville-Lake, his 5-year old brother Harrison, 2-year old sister Milly and their grandfather Gary Neville. Their grandmother and great grandmother were seriously hurt.

According to the agreed statement of facts that were read out in court Thursday, the SUV Muzzo was driving was travelling 85km/hr when it slammed into the minivan.

His blood alcohol was two to three times over the legal limit at the time of the crash and the police officers at the scene said he smelled of alcohol.

Muzzo was released on a $1 million dollar bail under strict conditions until he returns to court for sentencing on February 23.
