Warmer weather has created a baby boom for some wildlife

This winter has been unseasonably warm and that’s making life more comfortable for many people but life is also more comfortable for the wildlife roaming our neighbourhoods. Mating season for raccoons, squirrels and other common animals has already begun, and if you’re not vigilant, come spring, you could have a baby boom in your attic or crawlspace.
“We had a call at the start of January, mating season had begun which means 63 days, we’re going to see baby raccoons. In 27 years, that’s the earliest we’ve ever seen baby raccoons in mid February.” Says Bill Dowd from Skedaddle Wildlife Control.
To keep them from having their babies in your house, you have to seal all the access points.
