City of Hamilton charges Uber drivers

More than a dozen Uber drivers have been charged in Hamilton for driving without a taxi license.

The charges fall under municipal bylaws and were laid in the last several months according to city officials. The city says the charges come after receiving complaints from the public and actively investigating drivers.

The city is currently reviewing by-laws to come up with a long-term plan to make sharing services like Uber compliant and compatible.
