More than 100 cows run loose in Halton Hills

A herd of more than 100 cattle was on the loose in Halton Hills overnight.
Halton police say the cows got out after a gate at a farm on Third Line and 15th Side Rd. was accidentally left open around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police were contacted by a motorist who spotted the slow-moving pack of animals.
The herd made its way down Third Line before some police officers and neighbouring farmers managed to round them up.
Police say no cows were hurt during the ordeal, which lasted about three hours.
The roadways were cow-free by 2:30 a.m.
No cows or officers were harmed in the accidental stampede, but police say this cruiser was SEVERELY manure damaged. 😂🐮 @morninglive @HaltonPolice pic.twitter.com/XsctpIXoJn
