OPP investigates suspicious fire at Sauble Beach amusement park

Ontario Provincial Police is investigating after an amusement park in Sauble Beach went up in flames over the weekend.

Officers were out on patrol around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when they saw a building at the former Sauble Beach Fun World fully engulfed in flames.

The flames were shooting roughly 50 to 60 feet high when officers spotted the blaze.

South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

The fire has been deemed “suspicious in nature”, however, the Ontario Fire Marshal was not called in to investigate.

Grey Bruce OPP continues to investigate the incident.
