The several year long legal battle between the city of Hamilton and waterfront restaurant Sarcoa has finally come to an end.

A settlement was reached after a closed door meeting on Monday and will be finalized on Friday. While the amount has not been announced, chair of the water front trust Jason Farr says the public will be happy to see the lawsuit come to an end.

The restaurant owners filed a $15 million lawsuit four years ago after the city changed bylaws to prohibit live music outdoors. Sarcoa closed after a rent dispute in 2017. The city has not said what they plan to do with the property.
