Man dies following shooting in Brantford

Update

Brantford police were called to the area of Colborne St. near Gilkison around 3:30 a.m. Monday morning for reports of a shooting. They found a male suffering from a significant injury. Paramedics were called, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Coby Carter of Hamilton.

A business owner across the street says his surveillance cameras captured a man running from behind the building, into a car and took off.

Brantford police were looking for a 2015, white, Toyota MTL 4 door which has since been located.

Police Service believe that the homicide was a planned and deliberate act.
