33 year old man is Hamilton’s third confirmed homicide in 2019 after a brutal stabbing downtown

Police responded to the area of East Avenue and King Street for a 33 year old man suffering from stab wounds. Unconscious and in critical condition, he was transported by Hamilton paramedic services to a trauma centre where he died hours later. The suspect fled on foot through James Beemer Park.

Tactical and K9 officers were called to the scene as well as detectives and forensics to canvas the large crime scene. East Avenue was blocked off from King street to Wilson until two this afternoon. Several of the residents in the community have identified Sheila’s place as one of concern in the neighborhood.
