A dog has been reunited with its owner after falling from a cliff at Mono Cliff’s Provincial Park.

It happened around noon on Sunday in Dufferin County.

Ontario Provincial Police says the dog was on a hike with its owner when it fell from the edge of a cliff onto a ledge below. The owner and other bystanders tried to rescue the dog but were unsuccessful.

The Urban Search and Rescue/CBRNE Response Team (UCRT) was called in to perform a high angle rescue.

The dog was safely reunited with its owner and was unharmed in the fall.
