Teen wanted in connection with Brantford stabbing

Brantford police are investigating a stabbing that happened Monday afternoon.

Just before 4 p.m. police were called to an assault on Kennedy St. near Sydenham St.  They found a 41-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.

Police say this was not a random act and that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

Police are looking for 17-year-old Nebiyu Nediran of Brantford. He is wanted for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

He is described as black, 5’11, medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
