Cyclist found in ditch with life threatening injuries: Niagara police

Niagara police are investigating after a cyclist was found in a ditch suffering from life threatening injuries.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 1 p.m. on Monday.
They found an unresponsive 71-year-old man lying in the south side ditch of East and West Line Rd. near Townline Rd. in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Police believe the man was riding his bicycle when he left the roadway and went into the ditch.
The rider was rushed to an out of town hospital in critical condition.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident and are asking any witnesses to contact police at 905-688-4111, ext. 5500.
