Hamilton police charge seven people with drug trafficking

Seven people are facing charges after police seized a number of illicit drugs from two homes in Hamilton.
Police began investigating an alleged “drug house” after officers received information that a man was selling drugs from the residence near Dunsmure Rd. and Gage Ave.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the home on Feb. 7 and found cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycocet, drug paraphernalia, and 60 unknown pills.
Police believe the drugs have an estimated street value of $4,700.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is facing several drug trafficking charges.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, police went to a home near Cathcart St. and Kelly St. to check for two wanted people.
Officers arrested one of them when they answered the door and saw evidence of drug trafficking inside the house.
Police seized fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and cash. Six people were arrested and face drug trafficking charges.
