Niagara police say two overnight fires in St. Ann are related

The Ontario Fire Marshall is investigating two overnight fires at two different abandoned buildings in St. Ann near Smithville.

Emergency crews were called to a blaze at a vacant home at 4631 Twenty Mile Rd. at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Less than 30 minutes later, crews attended a second fire at an abandoned building at 2173 Regional Road 20.

The buildings are just a five-minute drive from each other and police believe the fires are related.
