Osteoarthritis not helped by herbs

A new study finds herbal medications do not successfully treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis.

The study looked at several herbs, including vegetable extracts, cat’s claw and ginger, and found no evidence that they relieved the painful joint condition.

In fact, researchers say some herbs can actually interfere with other medications, and may worsen the symptoms of other conditions.

Researchers claim previous studies promoting the use of herbs were flawed and too small.
