Halton police have arrested a Burlington taxi driver after a woman was sexually assaulted inside her apartment back in July.

Police say the pair had previously met on one occasion and the woman invited the man to her home where she was later sexually assaulted.

Donald Williams, 75, was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with sexual assault.

Police say Williams was working for Burlington Taxi at the time of the alleged incident and met the woman while he was driving for the company.

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in November.

Investigators are asking anyone with additional information that could help with the investigation to contact Det. Sgt. Chris Newcombe at 905-465-8965 or Det. Cst. Mark Werner at 905-465-8947.
