Students at Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School have been evacuated after another threat was made towards the school.

According to the Bishop Ryan’s website, the school was placed in lockdown at 11:15 a.m. due to a threat “similar to yesterday’s.”

Shortly after 12 p.m., Hamilton police said in a post on Twitter all staff and students are safe. They are asking residents to stay away from area surrounding 1824 Rymal Rd. East.

This incident comes just one day after the high school was placed on lock down for several hours after two threatening phone calls came into the building around 8 a.m. Monday.

Police say the calls were made by an unknown male who threatened to bring a weapon to school and harm staff and students. Today it was a bomb threat and it was called in from the same number.

“Same type of voice, appears to be coming from same number, that’s the preliminary info we’ve received.” Supt. Will Mason, Hamilton police.
