Police investigate reported sexual assault in Westdale

Hamilton Police are investigating a reported sexual assault in Westdale Friday morning.

Police say a 21-year-old woman awoke to an unknown person in her room around 5:45 a.m. and was sexually assaulted.

This was in the area of King St. West and Sterling St.

According to police, the suspect got in through a second-storey window and fled when the victim screamed for help.

The woman told police the person was wearing a dark or black hoodie over their head.
