Four youths arrested for stealing teenager’s shoes

Halton police say four youths have been arrested after a 14-year-old boy had his shoes stolen in Oakville.
It happened around 10 p.m. on April 6 in the area of Maple Grove Plaza.
Police allege the boys concealed their faces by tightening the hoods on their sweater and forced the victim to the ground.
The group collectively removed the teen’s brand new Air Jordan running shoes and fled in two separate vehicles. The teen was not injured in the attack.
The boys were later identified and arrested and the stolen shoes were returned to the victim.
Police say the boys will be dealt with by way of an extrajudicial sanction which could include volunteer work, compensating the victim, or attending specialized programs.
