Toronto police identify man in photo linked to McArthur

Toronto Police say they’ve identified a man believed to be another victim of alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur.
Last month, police took the unusual step of releasing a photograph of a dead man in the hopes of identifying him.
They did not say when the picture was taken or how it was found.
That picture led to hundreds of tips from the public – but no positive identification.
Earlier this week, police released a new, enhanced version of the photo.
On Friday, police confirmed they had been able to identify the man, but would not release his name or details on whether McArthur would face another charge.
McArthur, 66, already faces seven counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of men who have connections to Toronto’s LGBTQ community.
Police will also be reviewing 15 homicide cold cases from 1975 to 1997 for a possible link to him.
McArthur is scheduled to appear in court again Apr. 25.
