Armed robbery at Barton Street Subway in Hamilton

Hamilton Police are investigating an armed robbery at an east-end Subway restaurant this weekend.

Police say a masked man armed with a gun walked into the sandwich shop on Barton St. E., near  Gage Ave. around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Hamilton Police responded with armed tactical officers and the canine unit.

No arrests have been made.
