Port Colborne man facing child pornography charges

A Port Colborne man has been arrested and charged with allegedly accessing and distributing child pornography.

Niagara Regional Police began an investigation into the online sexual exploitation of children in February that led to a Port Colborne home.

Officers seized and forensically examined a number of computer systems and storage media on Thursday.

40-year-old Jason Favaro is facing several charges, including two counts of possession of child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.

Favaro is being held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Friday in St. Catharines.
