A 77-year-old man from Thorold has died following a motorcycle crash on Twenty Mile Rd. in Lincoln.

Police say the man was riding a 1994 Honda motorcycle eastbound around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators believe he lost control while on a curve and left the roadway. The man was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered life threatening injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The collision remains under investigation by detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
