Hamilton police investigate after body found in Lake Ontario

Hamilton police are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Lake Ontario on Sunday.

Investigators say the body was discovered by a person passing by Glover Rd. in Stoney Creek around 5:30 p.m.

Firefighters used rope and water recovery techniques to retrieve the body from the lake.

Police say the coroner was called in to investigate and it is too early to determine if the woman’s death is suspicious.

More information about the investigation is expected to be released on Monday.
