Senior critically injured after being struck by pickup truck

An elderly woman has suffered critical injuries after she was struck by a pickup truck in Burlington.

The woman was walking on Dalewood Ave. around 5:13 p.m. Thursday when she was hit by a pickup truck that was reversing out of a driveway.

She was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with life threatening injuries. She remains in hospital in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the incident and are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-7474, ext. 5065.
