Citopram being reviewed
Health Canada is reviewing the antidepressant Citopram.
A study suggests a dose of 60 milligrams or more a day can affect the electrical activity of the heart.
That could lead to serious and possibly fatal abnormal heart rhythms.
Health Canada says patients on Citopram should talk to their doctors if they’re concerned or if they feel side-effects like dizziness, confusion, anxiety, nausea or vomiting.
