Aircraft crashes near Brantford airport

An experimental aircraft crashed in a cornfield near the Brantford airport around 7:30 Friday morning.

OPP say residents told them the aircraft had been flying around for hours before it crashed.

Two men were inside the aircraft, and have been taken to Hamilton General Hospital. They both suffered serious injuries but are expected to recover.

The Transportation Safety Board is on their way to the scene to investigate.
