Air Canada labour dispute

The head of the union representing flight attendants at Air Canada hopes the federal government won’t intervene in an escalating labour dispute.

The union wants the government to respect its right to collective bargaining.

Back in June, the conservative government was about to legislate striking customer service staff back to work, when they quickly reached a new contract.

The flight attendants overwhelmingly rejected a tentative agreement reached with the airline earlier this month.
