Sherman Access and Sherman cut closed after vehicle goes over escarpment

The Sherman Access is closed in both directions following a vehicle crash Thursday morning.
Hamilton fire crews were called for reports that a vehicle had gone over the escarpment around 7:30 a.m.
Fire officials say crews located the vehicle approximately 30 metres down the escarpment.

Crews were able to rescue the one person inside the vehicle, who officials say has multiple injuries.
They are now being cared for by paramedics.
Hamilton police are also on scene.

Police say the Sherman cut and both the upbound and downbound Sherman Accesses are closed until further notice.
