Ontario reports a record 2,932 cases of COVID-19 and 19 deaths

Ontario is reporting a record 2,923 cases of COVID-19 and 19 deaths on Wednesday.
The daily case number beats the previous record of 2,553 cases set on Tuesday and comes as the province completed 39,210 tests.
Ontario is reporting 2,923 cases of #COVID19 and over 39,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 998 new cases in Toronto, 441 in Peel, 408 in York Region, 158 in Durham and 144 in Windsor-Essex County.

There’s been a jump in the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19. The province says there are 1,177 people in hospital, which is up from the 864 reported on Tuesday.
There are 323 people in intensive care with 204 of them on ventilators.
Another 2,237 have been marked as resolved.

**Hamilton public health says Wednesday’s case numbers are under-reported because of a delay in labs uploading data. Thursday’s numbers will be higher because of this.
