Aftershocks jolt central Croatia a day after deadly earthquake

A series of aftershocks have jolted central Croatia a day after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit.
The strongest, measured at 4.7-magnitude, was recorded near the hardest-hit town of Petrinja — about 40 kilometres southeast of the Croatian capital, Zagreb.
Many people spent the night in tents, their cars or military barracks.
The initial quake killed at least seven people and flattened several towns.
It was the largest earthquake to hit the country since the invention of modern seismic measuring equipment.
